Respook, Rewear, Rescare
Costume Swap Hours
October 2-30 | Monday, Wednesday, and Friday | 1:00-6:00 pm
Closed on Monday, October 14 for Columbus Day
The Halloween Costume Swap is an annual event held at the Recycling Center. It was created to offer customs the chance to share and reuse costumes that would otherwise be worn once.
Over 1,200 costumes for adults and children are available. Masks, wigs, makeup, accessories, treat bags, and decor are also available. All costumes are in clean, good condition, with many being brand new. The sizes of costumes range from infant and toddler to adult sizes. Costume Swap even has a small selection of pet costumes.
Participants are asked to bring a costume that is clean, in ready-to-wear condition, and free of rips, tears, and stains. To be considered for exchange, all costumes must be complete with original items, including masks and accessories that came with the costume originally. Those without a costume to exchange or an incomplete costume are asked to make a minimum donation to the reuse program. Cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted.
The number of guests and shopping times will be limited again this year. Participants should be prepared with a donation in case their costume is not accepted. The program does not operate as a charity.
Costume swap is open to everyone, it is not just for Dearborn County residents.
