What is Creation Station?
Creation Station is the Dearborn County Recycling Center’s not-for-profit reuse center. Supplies in Creation Station are donated from the public and local businesses. Its purpose is to divert reusable materials from disposal in landfills, while at the same time supplying educators with valuable materials. Since 2004 Creation Station has diverted over 79 tons of materials from landfills.
Who can use Creation Station?
Any not-for-profit adult educator in Dearborn County may obtain supplies from Creation Station. This includes, but is not limited to: classroom teachers, 4-H leaders, Scout leaders, homeschool parents, non-traditional educators and VBS teachers. Anyone who wants to use materials from Creation Station must provide proof of not-for-profit status and demonstrate intent. No children are permitted in the Creation Station.

Do you have materials to donate?
The reuse program provides a means to transfer donated materials from business, manufacturers and individuals to teachers and other educators. All donations must be in good condition. If you have questions about donating, please call 812-926-9963.
Donations accepted in the Recycling Center Drive-Thru: Monday through Friday 9am-4pm, Wednesday 9am-6pm
Donate Reuse Items Such As:
Arts and Crafts Supplies
bbeads, clay, construction paper, contact paper, craft kits, craft sticks, crayons, glitter, glue, markers, paint and paintbrushes, pipe cleaners, scissors, stencils
Around the House Items
baskets, calendars, CDs, corks, games, gift/incentive prizes, maps, playing cards, puzzles, toilet paper tubes
Classroom Items
binders, calculators, desk supplies, flashcards, notebooks, paper, pens, pencils, rulers
Containers and Kitchen Things
baby food jars, candy molds, canning jars, caps, cookie cutters, icing tubs, Pringle containers, peanut butter jars
Sewing and Handicraft Stuff
buttons, bows, crochet hooks, embroidery floss and hoops, fabrics, felt, knitting needles, ribbon, ricrac, sequins, silk flowers, spools, thread, quilting items, Velcro, yarn, zippers
All items donated should be clean, dry, and ready to use.GET
