How To Borrow

What is Lending Station?

Lending Station, part of the Dearborn County Recycling Center’s Creation Station, is designed to help make special events more affordable and sustainable. Individuals, families, and organizations can borrow items at no cost for weddings, parties, celebrations, and other special occasions. Many Lending Station items are only needed once, so they're available to borrow and share rather than buy new. All items have been donated by community members, helping reduce waste and benefit others.

Who can use Lending Station?

Lending Station is open to everyone. Whether or not you belong to a nonprofit organization or live in Dearborn County, you are welcome to borrow available items. Before borrowing, we ask that all participants complete a rental agreement to help ensure items are returned to the Dearborn County Recycling Center on time so others can enjoy them as well.
Due to limited staff and resources, Lending Station is on a first come, first serve basis. Event dates can not be reserved until you meet with the DCRC Reuse Coordinator. The DCRC Lending Station does not reserve items for more than two events per weekend. You may book a meeting up to one year prior to your event.

Hours: By appointments only. No walk-ins.
