Do you need materials?Find out if you are eligible.
The Deaborn County Solid Waste Management District opened Creation Station in December 2004 to bridge the gap between great need and available resources. The purpose of Creation Station is to save landfill space by giving away FREE, new or slightly used school supplies, arts and crafts materials and educational items to Dearborn County schools, churches, and other not-for-profit organizations. All items in Creation Station have been donated.
This program has supplied educators with over 39 tons of supplies since its inception!
In order to participate, your school or non-profit group must be located within Dearborn County. On your first visit, you will be asked to complete an application form. If you have questions about your eligibility, please call 812-926-9963.
Merchandise Usage requirements: All merchandise recieved from Creation Station may not be sold, bartered or exchanged (whether at flea markets, garage sales, thrift shops, auctions, raffles or in any other context whatsoever). Merchandise may not be given to or taken by volunteers, officers, clergy or employees for personal use. It must be used solely for the care of the ill, needy or minors, pursuant to the members charitable purposes, as stated in the Internal Revenue Services IRC Code 170 (e)(3).
