Drive Thru Recycling Center RECYCLE: To reclaim and use old products to manufacture new products. The Drive-Thru Recycling Center, located off Highway 50 just 3 miles west of Aurora, is open for residential recycling Friday from Noon to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Closings due to holidays or inclement weather will be announced via WSCH radio. Please have materials sorted by category before arriving at the Recycling Center. For helpful hints on how to recycle each of these materials Click Here. Not sure if something is recyclable? Our staff will be glad to answer your questions. The office is open Monday - Friday from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. We can be reached via phone, fax, or email. Please call to schedule commercial recycling.
Recyclable Materials Accepted in the drive-thru or in the recycling trailer on-site: Aluminum food containers Glass Metal Cans (Tin) Plastic #1 Plastic #2 Corrugated Newspaper Mixed Paper
These problematic wastes are accepted on Friday and Saturday during posted hours only: Tires Appliances with or without Freon Motor Oil, Oil Filters, and Antifreeze Batteries - Household and Automotive Mercury Products Scrap Metal
Acceptable recyclables must be left INSIDE of the drive-thru or put INSIDE of the recycling trailer on the property. Do not leave problematic wastes on-site after posted hours. Placing the recyclables and/or other solid waste on the ground is both improper and illegal. To do so is illegal dumping and is a violation of Indiana Code 35-45-3 and Dearborn County Ordinance 10-1991. Our grounds are monitored and violators will be prosecuted.
